About the event
Blue Origin was founded with a bold dream: a future where millions of people can live and work in space so we can better take care of our home planet, Earth—our “blue origin.”
On this special families-only tour, kids will step inside Blue Origin’s factory to see how real rockets are imagined, built, and tested. They’ll learn how New Shepard carried people and experiments to the edge of space and back, and how New Glenn is designed for even bigger missions in Earth orbit and beyond.
Guides will explain big ideas in kid-friendly language: why reusing rockets matters, how engineers and technicians work together on engines, structures, and safety systems, and how all of this supports Blue Origin’s goal of building a road to space for the benefit of Earth. Along the way, kids will see the types of careers—engineers, technicians, artists, coders, and more—that help make spaceflight possible.
A highlight of this tour is a special experience with Club for the Future, Blue Origin’s non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring future generations to pursue STEAM—science, technology, engineering, arts, and math—careers. Club for the Future connects K–12 students and teachers around the world with space-themed activities and lessons that show how creativity and curiosity can change the future. During the tour, your kids will draw or write their vision of the future on “Postcards to Space,” which then fly on Blue Origin’s rockets before being returned with an official “flown in space” stamp.
Capacity is limited to only 20 people and we’ve geared this tour for kids. We ask for a minimum ratio of one adult per child and parents are welcome to bring more than one child with a maximum ratio of 1 adult per 3 children (for safety reasons).
